~This weekend was ok... spent 99% of it at my parents'... setting up shit on Saturday in the back yard so that people would have a place to sit on Mother's Day. Went back on Sunday for the festivities, and no one was outside because it was too chilly. JOY.
~Going to see David Copperfield tomorrow in New Brunswick with my family. It's mom's Mother's Day gift. Starts at 5:30, then dinner after. Should be cool.
~Started watching Alias from the beginning three weeks ago. In the middle of season 2 at the moment. GOOD SHIT, DAMMIT!!!!
~I thought I had more... oh well! |

I keep having this issue but forget to ask for help, mainly because it's kind of hard to explain:
Here I have a sidebar div and a text/content div, both within a container div, and then a footer div outside the container (here's the CSS). The sidebar div is set to "float: left", the text div is not positioned, and the footer div is set to "clear: both". The issue appears when the height of the text div is less than the height of the sidebar div - then the footer jumps up to match the height of the text div as opposed to the sidebar div. I've worked around it by setting a height for the sidebar, but then I have to manually change that every time the sidebar's height changes.
I have the same issue on another site where the sidebar div (float:left) and the content div (not defined) are within a container div, and the footer div (clear:both) is outside it, except here the footer stays below the sidebar but the defined background of the content div jumps up to match the height of the content div as opposed to the sidebar's, which led me to believe that it's not the footer being outside the container that's the problem.
...I hope that made at least some sense, I can try to clarify if it didn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

These weekly meetups are part social, part event planning, and all fun! Well, sometimes fun. Sort-of fun. Honest. Would a marketing person lie?
In either event, it would probably be from about five to about midnight.
I'm slightly leaning towards next week because it might be easier for a few folks, but I'm flexible.

I am sorry I know alot of Lj users are sellers & I know if I would have bought something from them I wouldn't have gotten ripped off. So if you sell scrapbooking items or know a really honest sellerwho selles scrapbooking items please leave a note or a comment about this person so I may buy from then & not be out of 80 bucks.
I sorry for this but I told Nat that I really didn't trust ebay but since she was telling be about all the great deals & stuff she got on ebay. I saw that my hubby was having luck as well. I also read alot of the lj sellers from ebay that is when I said ok I'll give it a shot. What gets me is that I bought from this person before & I got the scrapbooking stuff loved.
2nd time got burned. I am really upset & I think I wanted to long for paypal or ebay to get back my money which by the way I think that is messed up. It should be this way because it is your money well in this case it's my money.
Again I am sorry.I just think that rules should help the buyer more. I know that they are only a few rotten sellers out their in ebay land. Paypal is not helpful with there 45 days. So again if you know an honest scrapbooker seller or you sell scrapbooking stuff thouhg ebay please contact me well bye for now

Anyone going to Balticon this month interested in sharing the gas / driving expense?
If you're in the southwest Virginia region or on the way to Baltimore from Virginia, and you are interested in ride-sharing with us let us know. We have a gorgeous traveling vehicle in the form of a nice van with leather seats, television / VCR, mood lights, etc.
Not to mention you can slash the gas cost by riding with us when gas is expected to hit the $4/gallon mark soon.
We can fit up to 5 people in the van with us.

I advertised a few months ago our home for sale on this forum, and Jeff is kindly allowing me to do so again.
We've lowered the price on the home, which is in Carbondale, PA (Poconos area), to 87,900 this week...a substantial drop.
Why? Because we need to get it sold since we relocated 500 miles away and are now under a pile of bills from two houses.
The house is in immaculate, beautiful condition, it's historic, it's unique, it's a castle. It has a new roof, fairly new exterior paint, refinished hardwood floors, crown molding, gold-leafed antique radiators, a piano....and it's commercially zoned so it can be a business if you want it to be.
